Street Cranexpress Sponsors Pride of Yorkshire Trail

We are proud to continue our long-standing support of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity by sponsoring a lion sculpture as part of the Pride of Yorkshire trail.

The trail, which officially launched on the 8th of June, features 300 individually designed lion sculptures displayed across the region. The sculptures help raise vital funds for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity and the vital work it delivers for children and their families.

Our lion, named Roarsome Dennis, takes pride of place on Fargate in Sheffield city centre. Artist Matt Cockayne designed the sculpture and named it after his grandfather, a former steelworker at Sheffield Forgemasters. His bold black and gold design reflects Sheffield’s industrial roots, musical influence, football culture, and a nod to a much-loved condiment (if you know, you know!).

Roarsome Dennis is the latest addition in our growing collection of sponsored charity trail sculptures. In previous fundraising initiatives, we sponsored an elephant as part of the Herd of Sheffield trail and a bear in the Bears of Sheffield trail. We are delighted to continue this tradition by joining the Pride of Yorkshire campaign and helping to raise funds for such a worthy cause.

The Pride of Yorkshire trail offers residents and visitors the opportunity to explore the region, discover amazing artwork, and support Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
