Street Cranexpress Celebrates Emma Fox’s CIPD Level 5 Success

Street Cranexpress has a long history of investing in its team. From our own in-house industry-leading apprentice engineer training courses to multi-department training lead by external providers. We have a strong company culture of looking at ways that empower our talented team to develop their skills, broaden their knowledge and feel more confident in their chosen field.

Recently, our HR and Training Administrator, Emma Fox embarked on a CIPD Level 5 course, and we’re pleased to announce she passed with flying colours!

We caught up with Emma to talk about what inspired her to pursue this qualification and the impact this will have on her work and career in HR moving forward…

“I wanted to deepen my understanding of HR practices and strengthen my ability to support both employees and the wider business, strategically.  I wanted to build on that with a recognised qualification that would enhance my confidence and credibility within the profession.”

How long did the course take to complete?

“The course took around 18 Months to complete from start to finish.”

Juggling coursework along with the responsibilities of work and homelife is no mean feat. Thankfully her training provider, HRC Online, offered Emma a flexible learning pattern which suited her schedule perfectly.

“My proudest moment was completing the qualification while managing a busy workload and family life. It really proved to me that with commitment, you can achieve a balance between professional, personal and academic development. A key learning was understanding how people strategy directly impacts business performance, and how HR can influence real organisational change.”

What new skills or knowledge did you acquire during your studies, and what are you looking forward to implementing most in your work?

“I’ve gained a stronger understanding of employee engagement, employment law, and organisational behaviour. I’m particularly looking forward to applying what I’ve learned around performance management and employee development to help create a more positive and productive workplace culture.”

What advice would you give to someone considering further education or training?

“Go for it — it’s an investment in yourself. It can feel daunting at first but breaking it down into manageable steps makes it very achievable. Choose a course that fits your career goals and don’t underestimate how much confidence and perspective you’ll gain from it.”

Looking ahead, what are your next goals?

“I’d like to continue developing my expertise and gain more knowledge in employment law. My goal is to take on more responsibility and help shape HR strategy at a higher level.”

Congratulations, Emma. We can’t wait to see your new-found knowledge put into action!
