This course is intended for personnel who may be required to carry out in-service inspection of lifting equipment accessories during their working day.

Aim: To ensure delegates appreciate the law relating to lifting operations. Recognise the need for correct marking, storage, and handling of equipment and identify key lifting equipment defects, so as to be able to complete in-service inspections.

Training Methods: Classroom-based tutorials and demonstrations. Practical exercise in the selection and in-service inspection of lifting equipment.

This course includes awareness of periodic examinations of equipment. The course does not provide training in the maintenance of equipment.
